Old MacDonald’s Farm

StumbleUpon

Life on "Old MacDonald’s Farm" isn’t what it used to be. The green pastures and idyllic barnyard scenes portrayed in children’s books have been replaced by windowless sheds, tiny crates, wire cages, and other confinement systems integral to what is now known as "factory farming."

Today the majority of farmed animals are:

* confined to the point that they can barely move,
* denied veterinary care,
* mutilated without painkillers,
* and finally slaughtered -- often while fully conscious.

The competition to produce inexpensive meat, eggs, and dairy products has led to animals being treated as nothing more than commodities.

Every year approximately 26 billion cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys and fish, each a unique individual capable of experiencing happiness, joy, loneliness, and frustration, are killed to satisfy America's appetite for animal flesh, milk, and eggs.

Warning, I found this video to be extreamly disturbing. I am not promoting Vegetarianism, thats your own choice.. i choose to eat meats every day but i thot that some people might want to take a look at this.
